This works a treat. Thanks for the package. Just two things that may be a bug.
I have 6 * 1TB drives plugged into a Windows 7 machine and WMC7 works so much better than previous versions. It picks up AVI’s and everything else.
BUG 1.
I’ve had to add the other drives under advanced options. Each drive has 26 folders A to Z. Under those are folder names for each movie. For some reason DVD LM only picks up every folder up to the letter S. I have to add the others individually.
BUG 2.
I moved all the AVI’s to a different drive. All the information copied okay but when I re-ran the scan, even though DVD LM picks up the ‘.xml’ files with all the info, the thumbnail is marked ‘X’. I can fix it by double clicking each entry and then select save, that fixes it but having to do that a couple of hundred times is time consuming.

Great tool. Works well with movied backed up using DVDFab. Would you be able to make it also work with AVI files? Windows 7 Media Center seems to have combined My Movies and My Dvds which is great. So far, the DVDXml.com site is working ok for AVI files.

Having issue getting DVD Library Manager to run on Win 7 Home 64-bit. Keep getting “application cannot be started”. Any suggestions? Searched Google and found a Greenbutton forum (http://thegreenbutton.com/forums/t/48266.aspx?PageIndex=7) where someone uninstalled and reinstalled to get DLM to work; but mine won’t install at all.

Hi,
Maybe I am asking something that isn’t possible but
it is worth trying.
I want to make synopsis info myselve for my home videos.
in 7MC I always get the message: “no synopsis available”, which I don’t like.
Does anyone have a solution ?

Make sure that your DVD folders are added to the Media Center Library inside the Media Center settings.

I have changed the program to scan for video files so you don’t have to create a dummy VIDEO_TS folder. I do find that the Movie Library doesn’t always like metadata for video files.

Also the IMDB lookup has been fixed (as well as Amazon, it was also broken for a while).

Hi, I’ve tried dvdlibrarymanager to gather metadata information for my Windows 7 Media Center, because I am from Spain and I want to edit synopsis info and translate it. Once I do it, I can’t see the metadata info. What am I doing wrong? I have a taranu.dvdid.xml file inside my film folder, pointing to a different xml file… Thanks in advance
